Daily Reminders
  1. Instructional Day- As a reminder, instruction begins at 7:40 A.M. and ends at 2:15 P.M. each day.
  2. School Uniforms- 
    • Shirts solid colors with collar (any color) 
    • Pants - Pants/Jumpers/Skirts need to be brown, black, blue, or khaki

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, we will continue the visitor protocol that was in place for the 2020-2021 school year.

                     Visitors and volunteers will not be permitted in buildings until further notice.  We will continue to monitor conditions and data provided by the Department of Public Health(DPH), the DeKalb County Board of Health (DBOH) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  It is our sincere hope that conditions will improve, and we will be able to reopen our doors and benefit from the value that our committed volunteers add to our schools and centers.  

                     We appreciate each of our volunteers and community partners.  In the interim, we will look for and we invite you to help us identify opportunities for volunteers to support our school community virtually.


Amended PreK - Grade 1 Visitor Protocol - First Day of School

 

The DCSD protocols for visitors and volunteers has been amended for the first day of school to allow parents to escort their PreK, Kindergarten, and/or Grade 1 students to the classroom to wish them well on their first day.  We look forward to seeing you with your young children tomorrow.  Please remember that all mitigation strategies will be followed and are expected of visitors.  Masks are required.  Hand sanitizer will be available, and we ask that you practice social distancing to the greatest extent possible.  Thank you for your continued support, and we are excited to begin a great school year!

There are several positions vacant on the PTO Board. We will be taking nominations and voting on new Board positions. Friendly reminder, As we prepare to return to school please do not cross Pleasantdale Road to come to school. The road is very busy with traffic and the safety of you and our students is of utmost importance to us. If your child misses the school bus, please call the Main Office at (678)874-3502. Please stay safe and take care!

Students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement. It also describes how the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the challenging state academic standards. Please review the attached School Family Compact and Parent Family Engagement Policy.

Georgia COVID-19 Emotional Support Line 866-399-8938

The Georgia COVID-19 Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential assistance to callers needing emotional support or resource information as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emotional Support Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals and others who have received training in crisis counseling.
